Kurti meets deputy mayors of three northern municipalities, talk about the current situation in four municipalities

The prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met today with the deputy head of the Northern Mitrovica municipality, Katarina Adjanciq, deputy head of the Zvecan municipality, Natasa Tomanic, and the deputy head of the Leposaviqi municipality, Marina Bogojevic, who participated virtually.
At the meeting, alongside the prime minister was Minister of Local Power Management Elbert Krasniqi, and Prime Minister for Community Affairs Adviser Elizabeth Gowing.
According to the prime minister's office, at the meeting the current situation in the four municipalities in the country's north and the latest developments in reports with the northern neighbour, with emphasis on actions yesterday on the ban of Kosovo citizens at border points and public threats by Serbia's president.
Special attention during the meeting was given to the opportunities for intensifying investments and infrastructure projects in these municipalities, practical measures that could facilitate employment, such as the employment measure for 2,000 residents of northern Mitrovica municipalities, Leposaviqi, Zvecan and Zubin Potok, which has been launched in February of this year, and the population registration process. For the latter, the prime minister stressed the importance of this process and the direct impact that participation in this process also has on the right division of the budget for municipalities and strategic planning of policies and projects”, the communiqué says.
The next topic of the conversation was either the vote for the dismissal of mayors, which is held on April 21st and the work of our institutions about the organisation of this democratic process, which is initiated by the signatures of the citizens of these municipalities themselves.
Kurti thanked the vice heads for their commitment and work they are doing, and offered continued co-operation in the service of the demands and needs of the citizens they represent and the municipalities they govern.
