Kosovo Prime Minister and Vetevendosje leader Albin Kurti said today that two more days, on 16 April, will be the most important vote in the Kosovo membership process in the Council of Europe, when he expects the Parliamentary Assembly to recommend Pristina's full membership without additional preconditions and notes.
Kurti, at the session of the Vetevendosje Movement General Council, has stressed that Kosovo today is in a much more favourable situation, and that Dora Bakojannis's report recommends full membership without additional conditions.
“Raporti and Dora Bakojannis opinion recognise the fulfillment of all preconditions and clearly shows that Kosovo's other obligations must be met after membership. On April 16th, we will have the most important vote in the membership process in the Council of Europe. It is expected that the Parliamentary Parliament will approve Bakoyannis's opinion, which recommends full membership of Kosovo without any additional preconditions and without the login”, Kurti said.
He invited the diaspora to participate in the European Parliament elections on June 9th.
He added that this date is important for the European Union, and for the whole of Europe, because, according to him, since the first European Parliament elections in 1979, Europe has never been more threatened than today.
The European Union is also facing major elections and decisions. He is facing military aggression and the fascism of the Russian dictatorship, which is known to have its allies in Europe. Their friends have been unjustly underestimated. I call on the diaspora to exercise their right to vote for the Social Democrats and the left who oppose extremism in Europe”, Kurti said.
