Kurt returns to war rhetoric: When we have threats from Serbia and war in Europe, we have responded with weapons purchase and increased numbers of soldiers

Prime Minister Albin Kurti mentioned threats from Serbia at a Vetevendosje Movement meeting today, while pointing to military investments.

Kurti said that when a war is under way in Europe, Serbia is threatening and that Kosovo has responded by increasing the military budget and by arming and adding soldiers, Express newspaper reports.

At the time we have war in Europe and security threats from the northern neighbour, we have responded with doubling the military budget and triple the arms budget. We purchased Bayraktar drones and produced anti-tank Yavelin missiles, meanwhile, there are 1852 more soldiers in the barracks, who will join this year as well as 600 new recruits”, he said at the assembly of the party's general council he leads.

Kurti said, among other things, that the north “has increased security”, while speaking as usual of other good works he says it has done for three years.
