However, he stressed that Russia's hybrid war in Europe is disturbing.
“We need to be clear that Russia is undertaking an informational war campaign against the West, and is trying to destabilise our societies by dezinforms, with what is called hybrid warfare and is trying to influence Serbia to join this hybrid fight”, Buchler said in an interview. RTK.
The former head of the Kosovo peacekeeping forces also spoke about Banjska's terrorist attack.
Germany said that when it saw images of the training this group performed in Serbia, it has also been reminded of where these trainings were conducted.
According to him, another terrorist attack is not possible without the knowledge of Serbia's security institutions or even its regime in Belgrade.
We should look at the positive side. Kosovo police are so well trained that they can face such major terrorist or criminal attacks. But if we look at that broad view regarding the threat from Serbia, I was talking about the comfortable strategic situation where Kosovo is currently located. Kosovo has NATO force, six thousand KFOR soldiers inside it. You may agree that they may not be enough to protect Kosovo in the event of a broader attack, but when I speak of the comfortable strategic situation, I mean that the Security Council Resolution first exists and that it gives KFOR clear mandate to provide safe haven in Kosovo”, the former KFOR commander stressed.
Erhard Buchler, among other things, spoke of threatening statements by Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq, where he said it is unacceptable for a European state to threaten another European state.
“E knows he is very good with the crossing but would not go far enough to attack Kosovo more truly”, the German general said.
Among other things, he stressed that he is confident that the future of the Kosovo Army is in NATO.
