Jasharaj, SBASK: I fear the year 2022 of strikes will be repeated

The SBASK chairman, Nundman Jasharaj, has said they do not have much waiting from the Kurti Government for demands to be submitted at the May 1st protest. He in an interview for Blic newspaper, says that this government has installed a wrong practice of trade unions and that attacks have not stopped since the 2022 strike and that it has been keen to shut down trade unions.
If we're based on the practice right now we don't expect much, because the Kurti Government has installed a wrong trade union practice, against dialogue, not just to us, and to others, and anyone who raises their voices to say a different word, they see it as an opponent. This has happened to trade unions, since the 2022 strike has not stopped the attacks and trends to shut down trade unions altogether”, he says.
Jasharaj mentions Minister Murati, who has tried to do this through the fact that all union members must register in e-Kosovo.
The “here in the first place has witnessed to the evil minister, eliminating the whole membership of all unions and presenting the condition that who wants to be a union member must register on the platform of-Kosovo, that for the civilized world has been assessed as a tendency that unions are of workers or government, as the government manages the platform and all things, movement within unions knows but we don't know, and unfortunately we don't know even happen any case, a workman, or the law, because it's recorded in Kosovo-<1->, he stresses the newspaper.
The SBASK leader says they expect their voice to be heard in this protest, while voicing fears of repeating the 2022 strike situations until he calls on the government and Minister Nagavci not to allow it.
“We expect this protest to be modest, but we expect it to have the voice, and the Government will understand it and appeal to engage because it doesn't then know what the demands of our membership and other unions will be, and I'm afraid it's happening to us in the year 2022, where we started with small protests and then it got massive where on May 20th it was protest with 18 thousand people who didn't echo the government and then the strike took place for a month, where the entire educational system was blocked. I hope Mrs. Nagavci and the others don't allow this and they have only one easy task of doing it, to give space for dialogue, to sit down and tell them their concerns, says he.
