IKD reacts to MD: Through deception he attempts to flee responsibility in combating violence against women

Kosovo's Institute for Justice (IKD) has reacted to the Ministry of Justice, saying it is trying to flee responsibility in fighting violence against women through public fraud.

This after, Deputy Prime Minister Blerim Sa Godi through a Facebook post Tuesday listed “the employees of Minister Albulen Haxhiu” in addressing domestic and gender-based violence, which according to the IKD 2/3 of Serbia's 29 “employees do not constitute her or MD's work, and that he presented false activities as ministry's work.

The IKD stresses that on the day Kosovo was rocked by another murder of women, no one reflected and no one resigned.

On the contrary, The IKD says state institutions rushed to distribute their work in combating domestic violence as the form of attempt to evade responsibility.

Any woman's murder, except for being a woman, is a state failure! The failures of state institutions in protecting women's lives were arranged in two cases by the Constitutional Court. The failure of the Court, Prosecutor and Police was confirmed. In spite of that, there is still no reflection on changes in practice. Women are still getting killed, institutions get puffed up for their “success”, and escape responsibility”, said in response.

According to the IKD, Deputy Minister of Justice Blerim Saqu God, considering running out of responsibility, false attempting to take credit, listing many activities and making politics by using murdered women and attacking activists.

And with all the trouble in their content, The IKD says that only 8 activities completed during the minister's mandate remain from the entire Saun list.
