Kosovo's government continues to insist that the regulation of the Central Bank(BQK), where the use of the dinar in Kosovo will be changed. According to them, reconciliation with the European Union's proposal is only about facilitating its implementation so that Serbian citizens in Kosovo will not be harmed.
On the other hand, opposition parties criticise the executive that the dinar issue has made a topic in dialogue, but stress that any action further on its implementation should be made in co-ordination with international allies, separately the United States of America.
Zulfaj, adviser to Prime Minister Albin Kurti, says of Kosova Preis that they are committed to co-operating with partners to find the best ways to facilitate the transition to implementing the Order, but without touching the same.
According to him, discussions in Brussels are in the function of facilitating implementation of the BQC arrangement, rather than changing it.
The regulation for Kosovo Chess operation is extracted from the central bank, which is an independent institution. We can't edit and change the BQ's regulations. It is their competence and, of course, the responsibility for other implementing institutions from the regulation, where the government has an implementing role in that part. The government is doing everything it can to make its implementation into practice by the implementing organs as easy as possible and without consequences for the community affected by this regulation.
The Serbian community is infected in the sense that the practice of using another currency, which has been operating illegally, is currently impossible. In the Republic of Kosovo, the only currency is euros and all means will be done with this currency. . Any discussion in Brussels is in the function of easing, but not changing regulation. The order cannot be changed. The government is committed to co-operating with partners to find the best ways to facilitate this transition without even touching the regulation, since it is not the competence of the government”, he says.
However, the MP The PDK, Hajdar Beqa, tells Kosovo that any action that is in Kosovo's interest should be taken in co-ordination with international allies.
Any action that is in Kosovo's interest should be done in co-ordination with Allies, separately with the United States of America. We shouldn't have interfered with the decisions of the Central Bank of Kosovo, as it is a constitutional and independent institution... the Kurt has missed it for one year with the dinar, a year with tables and I don't know where it looks like this. I think it's a prime minister without vision and failed”, Beqa declares.
Critical is LDK MP Rzazarta Krasniqi, who says of Kosovas that the government made the dinar a topic in dialogue without any need.
According to her, after the last meeting in Brussels, the deputy prime minister -- at the same time chief negotiator for dialogue -- Besnik Bislimi has stepped down from the decision on the dinar.
We as LDK have said that the regulation has been the right decision and we have a support. But it could have been postponed and co-ordinated with international allies, because thanks to them and the alliance we have today, we are an independent and sovereign state ... If (Bislimi) he said we have accepted the EU proposal and Serbia is taking time, it is falling back ... This government made the dinar the subject of dialogue and this is disturbing for the country”, Krasniqi says.
Meanwhile, AAK deputy Time Kadrijaj, though she says the decision on the dinar is appropriate, raises concerns that the Kosovo government will withdraw from the same.
All the populist actions this government has taken have not lasted. They have said they will not dialogue at all for the dinar, and now we are seeing that the deputy prime minister is going to Brussels. So why he originally sent officials from the CEC to discuss the dinar. In such actions we are only damaging Kosovo's image in the international arena. We consider that it is Kosovo's legal and fair move to this currency and eventually to decide that the currency is euro, but it has not to become subject”, says Kadrijaj.
The last meeting in Brussels, at the level of chief negotiators, was held on April 4th. Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi said they have accepted the EU emissary's proposal for dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, but the Serbian side has been ready for compromise. The fourth Bislimi-Petkovic meeting on the dinar issue is expected to take place after two weeks in Brussels. /kp/
