On Sunday, it will be voted out either against the actual dismissal of four North Mitrovica mayors Leposaviqi, Zubin Potok and Zvecan. In some municipalities, containers were placed, and several municipalities will be voted into AKP objects.
Schools refused to be available as polling stations, so alternative solutions have been made. On the Bubba Bridge in Zubin Potok, Saturday afternoon this container was introduced, which Sunday will be exploited as an alternative polling centre.
The entire container deployment process was being conveyed closely by Kosovo Police members. The latter will take care of the security of these polling stations by 7am Sunday morning, when these containers will open for voting.
Recent preparations are being made for the process to be held for the first time.
In these spaces citizens will be able to vote for or against the dismissal of the mayor of the municipality, Izmir Zeqiri, who took office from last April 23rd vote, at just such alternative centres.
Such containers were deployed on Saturday at two other locations in Zubin Potok's municipality. In this municipality there are a total of 5 polling stations, while voters have 6 thousand and 877 citizens.
The container's deployment took place after the refusal of directors of several schools to offer school spaces as a decision. Alternative and regular centers are expected to open tomorrow at 7: 00 a.m.
If 50 percent plus 1 percent of citizens on voter lists vote in favour of the mayor's departure, he is considered to have left the post. After that, the result is sent to Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, who has a legal deadline of 30 to 45 days for announcing extraordinary elections.
But if 50 per cent no figure is reached during the vote, the initiative is considered to have failed and, according to administrative direction, a similar initiative can be undertaken only after 12 months.
