Mike Tyson continues his duel preparation with Jake Paul, due on July 20th. The former heavyweight champion has taken war very seriously.
In an interview with Forbes Life he stated: “I didn't smoke drugs or have sex for maybe six weeks”.
Tyson, 58, noted that the decision to give up marijuana and sex is due to the discipline imposed on him to achieve in the best form in the duel to be held at stadium “AT&T”, Arlington, Texas.
I'm living my life disciplined now, so I'm going to have to fight it disciplinedly,” he said.
In 2018, Tyson said that he had stopped sex for about five years because he believed he would make him a better boxer.
The withdrawal of marijuana is part of the combat regulations with Paul, as its consumption is prohibited by the Texas Department of License and Regulatory, which oversees combat sports.
He could have a positive result of smoking marijuana before the war.
High expectations for this duel have been created. Tyson pointed to this a few days ago:
Everybody, even most athletes, is jealous of me, it's crazy... Even in the best of times, you couldn't draw a million people. You couldn't sell a stadium tickets.
Who at the age of 58 could sell an 80,000-seat stadium? Why do you think he (Jake Paul) wants to fight me instead of someone else?
