The fabled and real estates of Milan Radojici will be administered by the Kosovo Justice Ministry's Agency for Property Management or the Confiscated of Kosovo, until a final decision by the tribunal, the Free Europe Radio told Kosovo Justice Ministry, under which the Agency is under it.
Milan Radoicic, former vice president of the Serbian List, admitted responsibility for organising an armed attack against Kosovo police in Banjska on 24 September last year.
A Kosovo policeman was killed in that attack, while in the subsequent shootout, three Serb attackers were also killed.
On April 4th, during an action in northern Kosovo, the Agency for Property Management, or Kosovo Confiscated, seized two real estates in northern Mitrovica, a restaurant and a flat, as well as a villa in the municipality of Zubin Potok ♫ all of these Radojsic properties.
The real estate is in the evaluation phase and we still don't have the value set for them”, says a written response by the Ministry of Justice.
The leader of this ministry, Albulen Haxhiu, said last week at a news conference that Radojchiqi's sequentised villa, located near Lake Weyman and monitored by Kosovo Police, will be given for the use of this institution once there is a final judicial decision for seizures.
Willa, property that doesn't differ?
If the Kosovo Police were given for use of the Radojchikis villa, this institution would take a strategic position for the exercise of its duties in northern Kosovo, Mentor Vrajolli of the Kosovar Centre for Security Studies in Pristina.
The fact that it is mentioned that [the event] should be put into service to the Kosovo Police shows that police need to have an object there and need the object to be at a strategic point, for a more efficient role of this institution”, Vrajolli says.
But without a final decision by judicial authorities, the real estate of the secuested can't be replaced, estimates Greme Makshana from the Kosovo Institute for Justice (IKD).
According to him, in advance, the court must bring a decisive decision, which would stress that the specific property was achieved by criminal acts or was used to carry out criminal acts by the designated person.
In concrete case, it can only be given for exploitation. But not to carry property or to be completely changed because it always has to be done with the court's decision”, Makasana says of Radio Free Europe. When such a decision is possible, it is not clear.
Weapons, vehicles exploited by Kosovo Police
Kosovo Justice Minister Albulen Hadziu published on Thursday her Facebook account a list of properties of Radochiqi, who, according to her, have been seized and confiscated.
The selection means taking temporary and realistic things, money and valuable letters, while the seizure means taking these things permanently on the basis of the competent court's decision of definite form.
The Justice Ministry says the <x0); the assets that are subject to automatic seizures -- are the ones that have been used to carry out criminal work in Banjska”.
“Among them are 34 different vehicles”, according to this ministry.
Speaking last week, Minister Haxhiu said that with court ruling, these vehicles were given for use to security institutions.
The justice ministry has given it to the Kosovo Police in use for the needs it has”, she said.
Following the attack on Banjska, Kosovo's Ministry of Internal Affairs exposed the weapons and vehicles that were used for the attack on Banjska.
At the time, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti said the value of this weapon is over fivem euros.
With the management of confiscated weapons, this is handled by the Kosovo Ministry and Police, Makshana says.
Some of them [arms] are immediately subject to destruction, but there are some that put Kosovo Police to use. With vehicles that do not enter the framework of weapons, the decision is made in co-operation with other institutions, in this case with the Agency [for Sequistuar or Confiscated Administration]”, Makshana points out.
While Kosovo authorities have not yet measured the value of Radojici's confiscated and sequentised property, he had 5 co-owners in Serbia (with the Zharko brothers and Zvonko Veselinovic), a business environment, a hotel in Copatic and a villa in a elite part in Belgrade.
In October last year, all his stake in the company and property, Radojic transferred it to the brothers Veselinovic, who are suspected of various criminal acts in Kosovo.
Currently, Radojicic is believed to be free in Serbia.
For Kosovo justice, there is still no decision.
Some sources have told Radio Free Europe that the justice system in Kosovo will file charges against Radojici in the first three months of 2024, but something like that has yet to happen.
The REL has learned from other sources that the investigation into the case is about to end.
He is also wanted by Kosovo courts in connection with the murder and intimidation of a witness, while the US has put him on a blacklist for involvement in international crime and corruption.
