ZERE Board Chairman Ymer Fejzullahu has said they have not yet accepted the Constitutional decision.
I'm outside of Kosovo tomorrow. We will review the decision together with the team and decide”, Fejzullahu said.
The Constitutional Court has decided that around 40m euros will be turned to consumers, who have paid the electricity for Serbs in northern Kosovo based on a decision that was made by the Energy Regulatory Office ( ZRE) in 2012 ) which according to the Constitution has violated several laws.
The ombudsman had filed the indictment to annul this decision and compensate for the damage for consumers.
After assessing the ombudsman's claims, the Constitutional Court, Appeal and Supreme have confirmed that the ZRE's decision was illegal and ordered the return of the billed sum.
“Consequently, the Court, by applying the criteria and principles that have been sincerely addressed and responded to all the fundamental claims of the request filed through responses to the indictment, and to the request for extraordinary review of the judicial decision, and found that the verdicts brought against the Supreme Court have not contradicted the terms of the Republic of Kosovo (4)It says in decision.
