The dialogue process between Kosovo and Serbia has been under way for 12 years. His results are still questionable. Today was the last day Kosovo and Serbia were to submit proposals about a solution to the use of the Serbian dinar in Kosovo.
But, despite the deadline agreed on by the first two days meeting in Brussels, the EU refuses to confirm that they have accepted the proposals, arguing that a process is still under way. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Kurti, a day earlier, published videos that near the border with Kosovo, on Serbian territory, the neighboring state army has approached.
Images published by Prime Minister Albin Kurti shortly before midnight spread Serbia's military approach to the Kosovo state. The country's prime minister said they are carefully monitoring whether they will try to cross the border, adding that Serbia's move is not normal.
For the Serbian Army's exercises, Kosovo Police were announced the previous day.
Veton Elshani, deputy director of the Kosovo Police in the north, has stressed that in fact for the Serbian Army exercise police have had information from our KFOR partners, who have announced to us the day before, that there will be exercise a day later and there has been no surprise to us.
It's true, the images are ours, we've seen them, we've been close, because we're controlling our border, but there's no problem with emphasis. It's not disturbing, especially when the reports were accepted by our partners and they were there. We have co-operation with KFOR, we have joint patrols, we have sharing information with them”, said Veton Elshani, deputy director of the Kosovo Police in the north.
Peacekeeping Mission NATO in Kosovo, KFOR, KFOR said Friday that the security situation in Kosovo is calm, but fragile.
In response to RTK, KFOR indicated it has tripled the number of patrols, including along the border line.
The NATO peacekeeping force said it is working closely with Kosovo Police and EULEX, calling on Kosovo and Serbia to engage in the dialogue mediated by the European Union.
