Nikki Haley withdraws from presidential race

This means that former President Donald Trump is guaranteed the appointment by the Republican Party and will again face Democrat Joe Biden in the November elections.

According to the source confirming the news, Haley will not express support for Trump in her speech. It will call on him to try to win the support of its supporters, including a considerable part of moderate republics and independent voters, according to the same source.

Mrs. Haley's decision to withdraw from the race comes a day after the Super Tuesday vote, where Trump won convincingly in 14 out of 15 races for appointment of Republicans.

She remained in the campaign longer than any other Republican rival of Trump, but at no time presented a serious threat to the former president.

 

 

52-year-old Haley had secured the support of influential donors aiming to curb Trump's candidacy, especially after good performance in several debates in which former President Trump did not participate.

But it failed to attract a sufficient number of conservative voters in the face of Trump's dominance.

But the fact that support for it was more visible between moderate republics and independents could be an indication that Trump's policy style could present challenges for him in the general elections on November 5th.
