Reuters reports that the Israeli prime minister said:
There is international pressure and there is growing pressure, but especially when international pressure increases, we must close the ranks, we must stick together against efforts to stop the war.
He said the army will operate against Hamas throughout the Gaza Strip, “including Rafah, Hamas' last raid”.
He added that “anyone who tells us not to act in Rafah tells us to lose the war and that will not happen”.
During the five-month military campaign held against Israel's Gaza Strip, his army has repeatedly ordered the Palestinian civilian population to evacuate to Rafah in the south for security.
