Memli Krasniqi proposes Bedri Hamza candidate of the PDK for prime minister: We will give Kosovo new direction

Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Memli Krasniqi has announced that Bedri Hamza will be candidate The PDK for prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo.

Chairman Krasniqi, at a media conference, said Hamza is the right man for this position and the time Kosovo is going through, so he has asked them to take this responsibility.

I, today I am proud and very happy to present to you Bedri Hamza, our candidate for Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo. The man who will revive our economy, the man who will lead the team most worthy to restore Kosovo on the road to development and integration. Bedriu is proven, proven, dedicated and ready. Bedri Hamza is the man for the task. His past achievements as Minister of Finance, as Governor of the Central Bank of Kosovo, but his current achievements as Mitrovica chairman, speak best of his work. In each public task, Bedriu has excellent and has left behind major results. He has proved that he has always served common good and has made sure that no one is left behind”, he said.

Seeking that new elections be held as soon as possible because it has been proven that every day of the ruling Kurti Government is a lost day for Kosovo, Krasniqi said that the current model of leadership by one man, The PDK will face the leadership model by a team.

The economics and well-being of citizens is the government's biggest failure, and the situation is deteriorating daily. However, fellow citizens today are no time for despair or surrender. It is time for action, for unity and for firm determination to enable the resurrection of Kosovo, the restoration of trust and improvement of the lives of our citizens. Chairman Krasniqi said such a golden task requires stability, commitment, transparency, justice, but above all experience and competence.

“This task requires a witness, experienced, and dedicated public servant to restore Kosovo to development tracks. A leader who has never wavered in his loyalty and commitment to our country. A leader who provides citizens with predictability and security. And Kosovo has such a personality”, he added.

Krasniqi said that this decision does not imply that he as party chairman is avoiding a responsibility, but today Kosovo is at a crossroads above all because of its heavy and stalled economy, stressed that the weight of our decisions defines its destiny.

I have always seen myself as a political leader who enables the spirit of co-operation and success, without considering personal ambition as priority. Because today is not the time for personal ambitions. Today is not the time of leadership protagonisms. Today is the time to gather at one place all the potential of our country, to give Kosovo a new, competent, visionary government and who thinks of each citizen. A government that leads modestly, without arrogance, with a team and sweeping spirit. This is how I perceive public service. We are here to serve, not to serve. And in this direction, we will co-operate with all those who wish to give Kosovo a new direction. Me and the PDK are committed to that end.
