Defence Minister Ejup Macedonia has called the country's security a major step towards the news that the NATO Parliamentary Assembly's Permanent Commission has made the decision that Kosovo by parliamentary observers will be admitted as an associate member state.
The NATO Parliamentary Assembly's Permanent Committee decided today to advance the Kosovo Assembly from parliamentary observer to associate member. This is a major step forward for the security and prosperity of Kosovo and the region”, the minister wrote in a post in “X”.
He has added that the country's membership in NATO and the European Union are <x0 key> for any democratic country”.
Vetevendosje Movement MP Driton Hyseni, who is chairman of the Kosovo Assembly of the Parliamentary Assembly of NATO, has announced that during Sunday's work of the Permanent Commission chairmanship of this assembly, which is being held in Estonia, Kosovo has been granted status at the level of the associate member.
