Through a Facebook post, he said the State Cyber Security Training Centre would provide training with the aim of raising awareness of dangers in the field of cyber security, improving professional skills, and helping to raise cyber security levels of government institutions, executive services operators and digital service providers to achieve capacities for protecting critical infrastructure in the country.
Taking into account that in recent years the strategy of war and interference in states aimed at destabilising has changed markedly, becoming more hibrid than ever, cyberattacks are often more frequent. Conform these circumstances and the Ministry of Defence is developing its policies. Our goal is to train security institutions through this center to withstand any attack of this nature. The State Training Centre for Cyber Security will provide training aimed at raising awareness of dangers in cyber security, improving professional skills, and helping raise cyber security levels of government institutions, executive services operators and digital service providers to achieve capacities for protecting critical infrastructure in the country”, Macedonia has written.
Macedonia also announced that Cyber Range that will provide cyber security exercises for all who attend training is a donation from the American Embassy.
The “Quricula for the State Cyber Security Training Centre that makes up an essential element in the implementation of the national cyber security strategy, has been drafted with support from the British Embassy and implemented by the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance (DCAF) with local and international experts. Curricla includes a wide range of topics that deal with cyber security at an individual and organisational level, 14 training courses, 5 of them are followed by practical exercise, and 2 exercises on the table (TTX). Through its application, this center is a major new pillar of local security protection. Public and private staff that have critical infrastructure in the Republic of Kosovo trained in this centre equipped with digital, computer and cyber-sect will make up the protective wall against any attack on this nature. I thank Prime Minister Kurti, the U.K. and the US Embassy, who enabled the realisation of this highly state-interested project”, Macedonia said.
The inauguration of this center took place during the morning, attended by Prime Minister Albin Kurti and United Kingdom Ambassador Jonathan Hargreaves.
