LDK wants from prosecution to '%i investigates single-source contracts: 97.5% of them are of this government

The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) has accused the Kurti Government of high numbers of single-source contracts. According to the LDK, different dictatorships have extended 780 such contracts worth 209m euros.

In this case, the LDK has invited the State Prosecutor to investigate these contracts.

Democratic League of Kosovo deputy Besian Mustafa has declared that the total value of these contracts amounts to 209m euros.

“Only 2.5 %s of these contracts are following previous contracts. 97.5% of them are new, of this government. These are contracts where free competition is not allowed, negotiations take place in four eyes by ministry officials or the company's own ministers and representatives. On Thursday, we have invited extraordinary sessions on this subject. Mustafa has submitted contracts each minister signed, according to him.

We have 151 such contracts worth 124m euros in the economy ministry. In the MPB we have 33 contracts agreed in four eyes worth 25 million and 772 thousand. We have 69 contracts in the MIR with 10 million and 570 grand. In MKRS 56 contracts worth 4 million and 763 thousand. In the MD we have 13 contracts worth 4 million and 95 thousand”, he stated.

While contracting single-source tenders is generally made at the central level, Mustafa has stressed, while presenting their figures here as well.

We generally have direct negotiation contracts at the central level. The contract to secure objects instead of contracting free competition, we have 74 contracts worth 9 million and 539 thousand. The contract for experts or consultants 35 contracts, 1 million and 464 thousand. The rental contract, four contracts 434 000”, he stressed.

And the member of the chairmanship, Wisar Azemi, said the Kosovo Energy Corporation is the largest source of single-source contracts. According to him, 106 such contracts worth 100m euros have been provided.

For three years, he awarded 781 tenders with direct negotiations whose value is full of 209m euros. Without any competitive and tendering procedure, they have been awarded tenders, and the contract is interesting that over the years has gone by increasing this value, so starting with 30m euros in the first year, it has lost value to 70m euros in the second year to complete 119m euros in the third year, but the financial massacre has taken place at KEK.
