I have another question for Kosovo. Last year, in an interview for the Voice of America, you declared that you are not sure Kurt is still a partner of America. What do you think of him today?
I'd like to stress two things Gabriel Escobar said on the same subject. Of course, there are serious communication problems to address. As for specifics, read what Escobar had to say to him, I think he was very clear.
But what do you think?
I definitely have an opinion, but I try to focus on developing our relations with Serbia, so that the partnership I am convinced can be made. When I see the Serbian delegation travelling to Washington last week for dialogue on military issues, the fact that the head of the Serbian delegation addressed a large audience at our national defence university, it is clear that there are many other things we agree on, more than we have differences. We should take advantage of this and further develop our relationships. Relations with Serbia must stand firm on their feet and not depend on third parties. We must work together on issues where I am confident we can create co-operation. We need to be optimistic. Some would say I am very optimistic. But if a person is pessimistic, he will never achieve anything here. I think we can get optimism from what we've already accomplished and have more work to do.
