He says the army is stronger and better prepared because of current governance.
Kurti said the army has twice as much budgets, the investment in weapons has tripler, and there are also about two thousand more soldiers.
The prime minister also mentioned sophisticated military training, such as the Defender Europe.
So Kurt announced in a post his Facebook account.
With our government, our army is stronger and better prepared. Because it now has more than double budgets and in 2023 it had more than 2 percent of BPV, criteria for NATO; arms investments have triple greater; meanwhile, there are 1852 more soldiers in the barracks, who will join another 600 recruits this year, except for modern military equipment we have not had before. Among them are the known Bayraktar combat fears. While the ongoing purchase and fulfillment of the deal's obligations is the American anti-tank missile system “Javelin”, along with many other purchases”, Kurti wrote.
“3325 military personnel have been trained abroad, thus benefiting valuable military knowledge. Co-operation missions with the American and British armies were accomplished witnessing our capacity to contribute to peace. We participated in Defender Europe 21 and 23, and will be participants as host in Defender Europe 2025, benefiting extraordinary experiences in building military capacities and preparations side by side with NATO partner countries. Within the framework of the Ukrainian Protection Contact Group, we contributed to the training of the Ukrainian Army and prepared two military support packages for Ukraine”.
“We are continuing to increase bilateral co-operation and the presence of military diplomacy through the signing of international agreements with 15 states and accrediting of our military attachés in Holland, Slovenia and Canada, while we are under way in Switzerland and Italy. In bilateral consultations with the US, we set priorities for co-operation for the years to come, as we reached military framework agreements with Turkey”.
“Aware that in the digital age, security does not make sense without cyber security, inaugurated the State Training Centre for Cyber Security”.
“We imposed restrictions on the number of Kosovo Security Force soldiers and opened it for every new one until the age of 25. We made it part of the school curriculum for high-school students. Soon we will present the concept of comprehensive defence that enables citizens and various organisations to become part of the security and protection system and civil emergency management”.
