Representatives of Kosovo and Serbia are in Brussels today for the upcoming meeting under the dialogue for normalisation of relations.
Currently, the delegations of Kosovo and Serbia, led by Besnik Bislim and Petar Petkov, are at a joint meeting, with the mediation of EU Special Representative Miroslav Lajcak.
Similarly, Lajcak waited separately for Bisimi and Petkov.
The European Union warned a day earlier that it would increase pressure on the two countries to implement the agreement reached a year ago on normalising relations.
The talks, however, may remain under the shadow of the Serbian dinar ban in Kosovo ʹ this topic, also warned by the EU.
With a Central Bank regulation, Kosovo banned its use on 1 February, making the euro a single means of payment.
The issue, except that it angered Serbia, sparked differences even between the Government of Kosovo and the international community, as the Serb community in Kosovo has for years received payment in dinars from Serbia's budget.
Western diplomats urged Kosovo to suspend the regulation, to give affected citizens time to adapt to the new practice. / REL
