To close several illegal roads and preventing smuggling in the north, Prime Minister Albin Kurti has recently taken pride in presenting him as a success of his three-year rule.
Reports of preventing smuggling in the country's north have turned into ordinary Kosovo Police reports.
Albin Kurti, as a success of three-year rule, has also listed the closure of illegal roads in the north of the country and also the prevention of smuggling in that section.
But, retired Kosovo Police Colonel Nundman Sylejmani sees difficulties in this process.
The Banjska case “other plans have been made from 24 September onward and the patrols have fourfold, and KFOR has increased patrol and I can be told that security and control measures have been established. The sophisticated equipment also plays a role. But we can't stop me completely it's very hard”, said Beftman Sylejmani-the retired Kosovo Police Colonel.
The total obstruction of smuggling in the north, according to political affairs connoisseurs, can be made on only one condition.
“We have continued illegal access to goods as well as terrorist groups, monitoring of the border is also being maintained after attempting to block illegal routes, but it's a very common perimeter of the border, and when there's no will for the other side to have just one side it's pretty awkward,” Fidan Ukaj- think- think tank for TV Dukaj.
According to Kosovo Government data, 27 illegal roads have been closed in the northern part of Kosovo.
