There are people who believe Serbia will not continue the European path, it is heard by others that the EU will not integrate Serbia, there is a lot of distrust. And when that is the case, people do not want to take measures that are not easy, measures that are difficult, especially when you do not know what you are getting”, Hill said on a panel where the chief of the EU delegation in Serbia, Emmanuele Gyofre and Serbian Minister for Integration Tanja Miševic.
“Yes, you're getting something, but you need to know what it is,” said Hill.
Serbia must best present its case, what its aspirations are, what it intends, the situation should be clear”, Hill said.
He considered it very important that Serbia has all attributes for membership to know where it is good.
The ambassador added that it should be known how much Serbia has done for energy security and how much it is pushing in the green energy field.
