Hovnier has said this decision demonstrates Kosovo's commitment to maintaining rule of law and the independence of the judiciary.
“Sic said this morning Deputy Assistant Secretary Gabriel Escobar, today's decision on the Decani Monastery was a necessary step, and we thank the Kosovo leaders for their efforts to move it forward”, wrote the American ambassador to the social network “X”.
According to him, the Kosovo government has been ahead of two options: To meet this condition and to have Kosovo accepted into the Council of Europe or to remain without membership. According to him, the decision was made “driven by sound reason”. Kurti has said the decision continues to call it harmful, but has added that accession to the KiE would be historic victories.
