European diplomat: Dynamics should be turned into dialogue, it is in the interest of Serbs in Kosovo

The negotiations between Kosovo and Serbia have been going on for a long time and there has been no progress in the past two years, so it is necessary to restore lost dynamics, in interest -- first of all -- of Serbs in Kosovo, European Union for Kosovo envoy Wolfgang Petritsch has said. “in two years [...]
The situation has not improved in the past two years. In a way, he has lost a positive moment and dynamics. It is necessary to restore that dynamic,”, Petritsch told Kosovo Online, adding that he is concerned that negotiations are taking too long.
He said it is in the interest of Serbs in Kosovo and not only those in the north where the majority are, but also in the south for this dynamic to return to talks.
It is important to think about how to improve people's lives and quickly”, Petritsch underlined.
Asked how important the summit was recently held for Ukraine in Tirana, he replied it was very important to solidise with the attacked country, but also to boost political contacts.
But at the same time, I think it's important that Europe not forget that the first step in the enlargement process should be made in the Western Balkans. These priorities should be respected”, the diplomat said.
