At a news conference yesterday prior to his trip to Pristina, he talked about the dinar. Escobar has said the US calls on the Kosovo government to take very seriously the concerns raised by the international community.

We're hearing a lot of reports of difficulties. We call on the Government of Kosovo to take into account these concerns of the international community seriously. We're not discussing the legitimacy of the decision, but at the speed being implemented. The government has provided alternative ways”, he has declared.
“We need the Government of Kosovo to work with the international community to find a solution, which was a disaster” decision, Escobar said.
