Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi said that most of the current discussion he had with Serbian chief negotiator in the dialogue, Petar Petkovic, had to do with the possibilities for how to implement the basic agreement and its annex.
Bislimi said that from the Serbian side asked to know that “we have agreements”, while he said Petkovic managed to escape response.
“We consistently want to hear from the Serbian side whether we have an agreement and are committed to implementing this agreement as a whole. He turned away from the response several times, since it was finally said that Serbia is problematic because there are status-related mothers, especially those articles for respecting territorial integrity, membership in international and similar organisations. In fact, we were told that Serbia does not recognise the agreement as such, and we were told that it is impossible for Serbia to sign an agreement with Kosovo”, Bislimi said.
Kosovo's chief negotiator said EU mediator Miroslav Lajcak found that “Serbia has trouble moving in this direction” and that “is depressing that even a year after we still have not made substantial advances in this”.
Serbia's chief negotiator had no mandate to discuss this”, Bislim said.
Bislimi said that at the meeting “addressed the possibilities of how to formalise, respectively, to register the basic agreement and implementation annex”.
