The chief executive of the Regional Water Company (KRU) in Gjakova, Hasan Krasniqi, has been arrested at a border crossing west of Bulgaria on 19 February. This news was announced on Friday.
For this arrest, Visar Azemi, a member of the leadership of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), has said that “The power is due to these arrests”.
“The state is still resting for the arrest of Hasan Krasniqi, the official who VV placed chief in KRU “Gjakova”. He fell into chains as a suspect in human trafficking. Hasan is being charged internationally, and this case marks one of the most serious and harmful scandals for Kosovo's reputation in recent years” has written Azem on Facebook on Sunday.
He has also mentioned the case of Nagip Krasniqi and Martin Berishaj, saying these cases indicate “power corruption”.
The disaster is that this case is not the only one. For three years, this government produced many corrupt scandals. Nagip Krasniqi was also placed at KEK's helm, and he was arrested for allegedly misusing and congratulating. Martin Berisha was named ambassador, became a regional scandal. Three years in this way along with an incompetent government, which in more than 1,000 days only made the socioeconomic situation in the country difficult and downplayed any previous achievements of the state. From the ministry stressed that “in support of official information received by the Republic of Bulgaria Foreign Ministry, citizen of the Republic of Kosovo H.K. (Hasan Krasniqi) was detained on February 19th, 2024 at the border checkpoint Atjeshevo.
The MPJD further stressed that citizens of the Republic of Kosovo are being detained because the same person is supposed to be an INTERPOL fugitive.
During Friday day, officials from “CRU” Gjakova claimed Hasan Krasniqi is on an annual vacation.

Meanwhile, KALLXO.com learns that there was an international arrest warrant from Italy for smuggling with minors.
According to information which the portal contains Krasniqi allegedly carried out illegal organisation, namely smuggling with minors.
Information shows that Krasniqi had been introduced as a false associate and plotting with other persons, had organised and smuggled into minors.
This, since the same suspect, allegedly with the intention of illegal entry into Italy, has simulated participation of the same ones in several sports tours, with the aim of profiting Schengen visa for sporting purposes.
Hasan Krasniqi has been the candidate of the Vetevendosje Movement for the Gjakova Municipal Assembly.
