Escobar has acknowledged that there is a rift in diplomatic communications between the US and Kosovo.
“Partnerity between the United States and Kosovo, between the American and Kosovo people, does not penetrate through a man in Kosovo, or a party. However, I must say that we currently have problems in communication with [Kosovo's] prime minister, Albin Kurtin. And not just the US, it's a problem that Kosovo has with the EU, NATO, the United Kingdom and more partners, including Albania and Northern Macedonia”.
Regarding these Escobar statements, Periscopi has taken a stand by the AAK.
AAK Parliamentary Group chief Besnik Tahiri accused Kurti of lack of communication not only with internationals, but also with unions, students and veterans
