The widespread attack Serbia had undertaken in Drenica to eliminate the Kosovo Liberation Army had turned into an iron siege for the Jasarash Quarter in Prekaz, which was the centre and symbol of the Kosovo freedom fight.
This serious event on March 5, 6th and 7th of 1998 had raised the Kosovo issue at the top of the global agenda, and continues to be a glorious memory of our nation's history.
In fact, 26 years today are made by the fall of legendary Commander Adem Jashar, who along with his family and other Jashars protected Kosovo from the Serbian occupationary. With its heroic fall, Kosovo defeated fear and opened up the paths of freedom and the future. At the Jasaras Lagen in Prekaz, the largest monument for Kosovo's freedom and independence has been erected, and on March 5th 6th and 7th of each year, the Albanian nation returns with respect and admiration to remember this glorious event of our newest history.
Even this year, the government of Kosovo has organised numerous activities for marking the KLA's Age, until Tuesday at 10:00 a.m., the Kosovo Assembly will hold the solemn session on the 26th anniversary of the legendary fall of the Legendary Commander.
Also, at 12:00 today, the KSF Quadrat alignment ceremony is held, including the highest heads of state.
The Presidency Office has announced that at 10:00 a.m., Republika President Vjosa Osmani will participate in the Solemne Seance of the Republic of Kosovo, in the case of the 26th anniversary of the KLA.
At 12: 00 a.m., President Osmani attends the KSF Quadrat Line Ceremon, on the occasion of marking the KLA Age.
