KFOR denies that Serbian gendarmerie entered Kosovo: They were joint patrols with the Serbian Armed Forces

The NATO-led KFOR mission has denied the news where it was reported that the Serbian gendarmerie has entered within Kosovo's territory, in the village of Bervenik of Podujevo, respectively. According to KFOR, around 14:45, a Latvian unit belonging to KFOR was preparing to begin a planned and synchronised patrol with the [...] Forces.
The NATO-led KFOR mission has denied the news where it was reported that the Serbian gendarmerie has entered within Kosovo's territory, in the village of Bervenik of Podujevo, respectively.
According to KFOR, around 14:45, a Latvian unit belonging to KFOR was preparing to begin a planned and synchronized patrol with the Serbian Armed Forces along two sides of the border.
At the time the photograph was taken in question, Latvian personnel were co-ordinating with their Serbian counterparts, who were positioned on their side of the border line. It is important to note that the Latvian team was further deployed behind their leader, who was involved in co-ordinating activities with the Serbian Armed Forces”.
The “Imagination could have been cut off to exclude parts describing the Latvian leader by negotiating with the leader of the Serbian Armed Forces. The synchronized patrol has been conducted professionally and in full respect of well-defined procedures”, said in response.
News published in several media in Kosovo has also been denied by Kosovo Police, who said they were joint KFOR patrols with Serbian authorities.
