Earlier this week, Dani Alves was convicted of four and a half years of sexual assault.
Brazil has been in prison since its arrest in January 2023, for an incident that took place a month earlier, broadcasts Express.
Alves' legal team has already announced that they will appeal the decision and now there may be a turning point in this case.
As reported by “La Vanguardia”, 40-year-old, has won an earlier case on alleged payments to a FIFA agent, and this will compensate him 1.2m euros from the Spanish treasury in compensation.
Barcelona's former defender hopes these tools can be used to organise his provisional release, which will be up until the decision is made on his complaint.
Part of this money can be used as guarantees to show that it will not leave abroad during this parole period.
But it should be stated that the former Alves cell mate had said that “a would leave Spain and would no longer return if he was temporarily released from prison”.
Still, it is not known whether this can play a role in the court's decision.
