Sismological Network Director shows which areas in Kosovo are most threatened by earthquakes

An earthquake of 4.2 magnitude has hit Kosovo after midnight, feeling more powerful in the Prizren region.

Shemsi Mustafa, director of the Kosovo Seismic Network, has provided details about seismic activity.

Mustafa made it known that the quake was also followed by a follow-up in the early hours of the morning, about 4: 00 p.m., with magnitude 3.0.

Kosovo is located in an area of relatively high seismic activity, where quakes with Magnitudes are possible to 6.5-7 degrees of Riterin”, he said, adding that the most endangered areas include the Dukagjini region, from Istog to Prizren, as well as Ferizaj, Year, Gjilan and northern Kosovo.

The director of the Kosovo Seismological Network also stressed the importance of caring for and preparing in case of earthquakes that citizens should undertake.

The expert reiterated that no part of Kosovo's territory is excluded from the seismic danger.
