The terrorist attack on the Iber-Lepenci channel has been commented on by NATO.
In response to Klan Kosova, a spokesman for the North-Atlantic Alliance has said they condemn the attack on Zubin Potok, but that it is now important to sift, according to him, the facts through investigations which should be transparent so that the attackers can already be punished by citizens to retake primary services.
In question whether they stand on the same line with the leaders of Kosovo state institutions that behind the terrorist attack lies Serbia, NATO says that “is essential to avoid any inflammatory rhetoric or actions that can be conveyed with new tensions because it affects the security and stability of the entire region”.
This spokesperson NATO has made it clear that the Alliance will not be included in any international investigation, as requested, because “this task belongs exclusively to the Kosovo Police”, and this is contrary to what was done with the terrorist attack on Banjska.
Also from the Alliance, which has peacekeeping mission in Kosovo KFOR, KFOR has told Klan that it does not plan to reinforce itself with additional troops except those 1,000 that have brought in the wake of the unrest in Zvecan in May 2023, and the attack on Banjska on 24 September last year.
