Kosovo police have detailed the accident that took place last night in the north of the country, where eight of its members were injured.

The 24-hour report says that the policeman driving the vehicle has lost control of it and is out of the way and that he and seven other policemen, who have been in charge, suffered injuries.

As procedures require, Kosovo Police Inspectorate has emerged on the scene.

Last night, Deputy Director of Police for the Northern Region Veton Elshani confirmed the case.

We can confirm that shortly after 8:00, it was reported that in the north of the country, specifically in the village of Grabovc, an official armoured car in which eight operators were located, allegedly slipped and got off the road.

At the scene immediately, competent police units have emerged to handle the case, and medical teams with ambulances have also been notified. As a result of the accident, police officials have suffered injuries, and the same medical teams have been sent to the hospital centre for treatment of”, Elshani said last night.

The same ones after the accident were sent for examinations at Mitrovica Regional Hospital.

“are undergoing the first examinations of police officials, so far there is not much information. There are 8 of them being treated in emergency”, the spokeswoman for this hospital, Nita Mustafa-Hakaj, first confirmed.

Later, the same suggested that two of the police were transferred to the Kosovo Clinical and University Centre for treatment and that two others were preparing to be transferred.

“Two of them are transfers to QKUK, while two others are preparing for transfer”, she said last night.

Health Minister Arben Vitita has announced after midnight that three policemen have been sent to QKUK.

He said he has visited the same people that their situation was stable.

Of the eight officers injured in the accident tonight, five were released home and three were found in the QKUK Emergency Clinic. I visited them tonight, and the doctors informed me that their condition was stable and, at the moment, out of danger for life”, Vitia wrote.

He suggested that one will be transferred to the Orthopedic Clinic, one at the Toracial Surgery Clinic, and one after observation at Emergency Clinic is expected to be transferred to the Neurosurgency Clinic.
