Crossing mountain roads, police prevent cargo smuggling

Kosovo police, respectively patrol units of the DDR-Lit border police, during the implementation of tasks and police activities in the border area between the Republic of Kosovo and North Macedonia, on the date of 22.12.24, based on intelligent information and tactical-operial activities on the ground in the village of Dimza Khan of Elez, have observed a van vehicle without license, crossing the border along mountain roads.

Regarding this alleged vehicle, police units have immediately taken action and, as a result, have managed to catch him in the background, with what cases have been faced by the leader of the Kosovo male vehicle along with the other Kosovo male suspect who has been caught smuggling various goods, a total of 573 items worth about 20,000.00 euros.

In the case all actions have been undertaken in co-operation with the state prosecutor, where at his order the Kosovo male driver is sent to the hold for 48 hours, while the other suspect is released in regular procedure, while smuggled goods and vehicles are seized and sent to the customs terminal.
