Zelensky wishes Trump for victory, says he accounts for US support for Ukraine

In his tour, Zelensky mentioned the September meeting with Trump, until he said he appreciated his commitment to access “peace through force” when it comes to global issues.

He said he counts on US strong support for Ukraine.

And remember our wonderful meeting with Trump in September, when we discussed in detail the strategic partnership Ukraine, the US, the Victory Plan and ways to end Russian aggression against Ukraine. I appreciate Trump's commitment to accessing peace through force when it comes to global affairs. This is precisely the principle that can bring Ukraine to peace. We look forward to a powerful US era under Trump's leadership. We count on the strong two-party support in the US for Ukraine”, wrote Zelensky on X.

He has said Ukraine, with one of the most powerful armies in Europe, is committed to ensuring lasting peace and security in Europe and the transatlantic community, with the support of allies.

Otherwise, Trump has secured 267 out of the 270 necessary Elexorial College votes to be proclaimed president. There are three votes that split it from confirmation as president.
