This development comes after the United States' decision to allow Ukraine to use long-range missiles ATACMS vs Russia, a move Washington had avoided for nearly 33 months of war.
The British government has faced questions about whether it will follow the same path, but during the G20 summit, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer avoided commenting on the issue.
Meanwhile, a British prime minister's spokesman said his office would not comment on reporting or operational issues.
Although Ukraine has not confirmed the use of the Storm Shadow missiles in Russia, numerous reports in British media suggest they were used. The United Kingdom's decision to allow the use of missiles beyond Ukraine's borders was expected, following the US example.
By contrast, Russia has reacted sharply to America's decision, lowering the threshold for use of nuclear weapons, a recurring threat during various war stages, when Ukraine's allies have increased their military support.
