Tahiri: The budget hearing was super-scandalous, arguing with anti-democratic procedures

AAK Parliamentary Group chief Besnik Tahiri has criticised the ruling party for the parliamentary session, in which the Budget Law was adopted.

He has suggested that this session has been super-scandalous.

In his account in “Facebook”, he has estimated that the hearing in question has overwhelmed debate through antidemocratic procedures.

The budget law that has 738 pages is one of the most important legislative acts. MPs and budgetary organisations have given 41 hours to handle a 738-page document. So the rejection and inflammatory debate on his approval through a limited antidemocratic procedure in less than 2 days highlights at least three major problems in this failed ruling model of Kurt and LVV. 1. The first problem is ignorance and non-competence. More specifically, the Law on Budget, as a general law, and the Law of Salaries, as a special and organic law, have specific reports between them. Changes to a particular law cannot be made through another legal act. In contrast, changing the structure of the cofficients cannot be done with any other act except through a special process of complementing the change that requires particular procedure”, he wrote, citing the second problem.

“2. The second problem relates to lack of transparency and debate. How can such a law be handled without giving the public and taxpayers the opportunity to understand how their contributions are planned to be spent? Will they be used for salaries, services, projects, human development, modernisation or any other field? This government, this prime minister and these ministers deal with public money with the same approach and logic as a company that decides on its finances at a management board meeting. Today, even the Italian companies do not make decisions without ignoring the concerns and demands of parties of interest”, it has indicated.

According to him, Kurti Government has failed to generate economic growth.

“3. The third problem, summing up the first and second, is that this government has failed to generate economic growth and development. Moreover, in the face of corruption and misuse scandals, the government requires that public finance be eliminated by any critical and different voices. This is the tyranny of a delegateal model, which has nothing more to offer except the social, economic and political misery”, Tahiri wrote.
