US Senator Richard Blumenthal has sent a letter to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken for the danger Serbia has presented to Kosovo over the years, citing the attack on Banjska in September 2023.
He has asked Blinken to keep an eye on Kosovo during the US power transition.
According to Blumenthal, throughout this transition period, all instruments available to the US are required to be used to ensure that Serbia is kept away and unable to invade Kosovo's territory.
He has also requested that the US continue with commitment to support the process of normalising reports between Kosovo and Serbia and Kosovo's membership in the United Nations.
