German Ambassador to RTV21 has also talked about reports of Germany and Kosovo, the draft Association and Constitutional Court, the Council of Europe and the European perspective of Kosovo.
It is a mistake to think that when governments change, the main parameters change... We want normalisation to happen, we have an operational document and the Brussels agreement is clearly outlined there. We are currently trapped because both sides do not show, I would say, good faith and the will to move. But the truth is Serbia is satisfied with the status quo. Kosovo wants to change the status quo. We want to change the status quo for more recognition, becoming a member of all the clubs where you want to be. And I think it was my U.S. colleague who said a few weeks ago, if you want to be a member of the club, don't insult that club you want to become a member of. This is never a good idea”, Ambassador Jörn Rohde said.
The same statement had been issued by the American ambassador, Havenier.
