Official The PDK, Arben Mustafa, has reacted to the Vetevendosje Movement for the job of raising wages, saying the convention held by Bedri Hamza has caused panic in the ruling party. Mustafa says that in PDK's time and Bedri Hamza's salaries had increased 88 %s for educators, for police 139 %, doctors 87 % and nurses 133 %.
As for the increases made by the Kurti Government, Mustafa says they do not feel public sector workers in high positions.
He has then listed the PDK's promises of 50 %s increases in salaries, making pension minimum 200 euros, and increasing that contributor to 30 %s and increasing 50 %s benefits for war-free categories.
Full Response
The PDK's magnificent contract for Bedri Hamza, Prime Minister, is apparently causing panic in the ruling party.
As they have referred to salaries, then it is good to recall the fact that at the time of PDK governance and Bedri Hamza, public sector wages had marked the greatest growth ever and Kosovo was not recognised as the country with the lowest wages in the region.
More specifically, education salaries were up 8.8%, police salaries 139%, medical salaries 87%, nurses' salaries 133%.
As to the 2017 decision, for government cabinet salaries, we should recall the fact that Bedri Hamza, as minister of finance, had refused to receive his increased pay, displaying high moral and professional integrity.
And when the question is asked what happened to the salaries under Albin Kurti's rule, it's good to ask public sector employees, except for leaders of high state positions that they are seeing pay raise in their accounts?
The answer from these categories is no!
Therefore, just as we have done the major crossing in 2011 and 2014, it is time to make our next crossing with Prime Minister Bedri Hamza for a life of dignity for all citizens of Kosovo!
• 50% for salary increases!
• Minimum pension of 200 euros and 30% increase for contributing pensioners!
• 50% increased benefits for war categories!
• Powerful private sector support programs!
