Nagavci reacts after the opposition's criminal outcry on textbooks: I'm going down.

Education Minister Arberie Nagavci has reacted after PDK deputies sent criminal charges against her for subsidising textbooks.

Nagavci has said that this criminal outcry will be rejected and, according to her, criminal outcry came after “We cut out the 20-year practice of buying millions of textbooks with single-source contracts filled with links and access to abuse”.

“From books should benefit first and primarily students, not interest groups.” has written, among other things.

PDK- LDK- The AAK, united as always, has handed over criminal complaints to me today for subsidizing students for textbooks and school materials. Very likely from these subjects, when we know which interest groups we've touched.

Reactions began on the day we cut off the 20-year practice of buying millions of textbooks with one-manic contracts, filled with links and abuse opportunities. We created a transparent process of direct subvention, where any form and possibility of abuse was eliminated.

They tried every way and with every means, in the media and in the Assembly to restore the old system, but they failed. Finally, they have created the Investigative Commission, which we have also supported as a V Movement parliamentary group. And as Minister of Education, we have nothing to hide.

However, without completing the job there and without approval of the Investigative Commission report, they have been addressed to the Special Prosecutor with criminal speculation. This criminal charge will be rejected, as will the last one to be rejected last week.
