In the Iber Lepenc channel in Zubin Potok last night, there was an explosion that was named by state institutions as a terrorist attack.
As a result, citizens of northern Mitrovica and several other municipalities remained without water.
There were many reactions to this occasion. Kosovo blamed Serbia for the attack, while the latter denied the charges.
Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric, meanwhile, gathered the Quint State Ambassadors and EU Ambassador to Serbia at a meeting.
That's where the terrorist attack on Zubin Potok was discussed last night.
As reported in this ministry's announcement, Djuric at the meeting stressed that “is about clear sabotage” and that Serbia undoubtedly condemns such an act, which is directed against the stability of the region and the interests of all communities.
The head of Serbian diplomacy stated that the accusations made by Kosovo to Serbia in this case “are groundless and unproved”, and that, according to him, target the discrediting of Belgrade at a sensitive moment and “the misuse of the situation for political purposes and its instrumentisation in Kosovo's geox3>.
Serbia, in his own words, seeks to find the motive for the attack on this vital infrastructure facility and is willing to co-operate with the international presence in Kosovo to illuminate all circumstances and possibly find and bring the responsible to justice”, the report said.
It adds that Minister Djurovic stressed that it is important that, meanwhile, before the investigation provides any concrete answers, all refrain from baseless accusations and arbitrary direction towards everyone, as well as that police on the ground in carrying out investigative actions do not use this situation as justification for violence and civil rights violations.
“Serbia, as presented before co-talkers, is ready to assist local authorities and Pristina with the power supply until the repair of Iber-Lepenc Canal damage and is ready to help in any way to repair damages”, the report was said.
Representatives of the US, Germany, Great Britain, France, Italy and the European Union Delegation to Serbia attended the meeting.
