Kosovo Commission Association Executive Director (AKK), Sazan Ibrahimi, has today declared that Kosovo's 2025 budget for 2025, based on estimates made to the AKK, turns out that 21.8 per cent of Kosovo's total budget will go to Kosovo municipalities and that it is smaller compared to last year.
This year's “was 22.4 %, we have a reduction of 0.6 %, which when translated into monetary value turns out to be less than 21m euros. If the same was split in the next year, municipalities would benefit 21m euros more than this year. But this has not happened and there are other problems, when they divide the tools to the ministries of the line and then the ministries distribute them to the municipalities”, he told “Info Plus” in RTK.
He said the central level has not been willing to push the law forward for local finances, where the fourth grant is accommodated.
If the 4th grant and social services were postponed there, I could point out that all the mayors would remain satisfied”, he stressed.
