Haradinaj has said that lack of vision and state policies has kept this sector at the end of the list of priorities.
Kosovo, although small, has great potential for developing agriculture and livestock. The lack of vision and state policies has kept this sector at the bottom of the priority list. At the meeting with Decani farmers, who have achieved successes by ensuring well-being for families and municipalities, we expressed support that the Alliance with coalition partners has for this sector. After February 9th, we will take concrete measures to develop agriculture”, Haradinaj said.
Haradinaj has reiterated the benefits Kosovo's direct membership in NATO brings.
“outright NATO membership through Plan
Actual will bring a big turn to the country. In our program, we have predicted these measures:
• Increasing financial subsidies for farmers.
• Insurance of soft loans for stable investment.
• Developing a subvention scheme for secondary production.
• Eliminating nontariff barriers to our products.
• Subvention of the cost of bank guarantees.
• Investing in standardizing product quality.
• Cardovic capacity increases in the production sector.
• Strengthening the sector as employment opportunities and rural development.
• Changing the legal base, including the space plan, would boost the development of tourism”, Haradinaj has indicated.
According to Haradinaj, investment in agriculture guarantees development and increased prosperity.
“We believe investment in agriculture guarantees development and growth of prosperity. Our commitment to financial support, modern technology and opening of new markets will make agriculture in Kosovo receive the well-deserved attention”, Haradinaj has concluded.
