EU spokesman Peter Stano said concrete steps are needed, and not just statements.
“We welcome Kosovo's stated readiness to start implementing the Normalisation Way Agreement, ask that the declaration be consistent with concrete actions and start to do so immediately. Both Kosovo and Serbia must implement all their commitment to dialogue without any further delay or set new preconditions in order to make progress on their respective European path. Failure to implement what has been agreed on will affect their ability to advance their European aspirations. The EU is the facilitator of dialogue for normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia, and not the party in the” agreement, Stano told Rtv21.
The prime minister, Albin Kurti, has declared that Kosovo is ready to implement agreements on normalisation of relations, but has added that the partnership in effect is impossible without full compliance with agreements from Serbia.
The European Union has asked the Government of Kosovo for concrete steps to establish the Association of Serb majority municipalities, saying it is the government's legal obligation. But Prime Minister Kurti said he didn't establish association. The government has called the European draft state a no-papet without signature.
