Globally known American media “CNN” reported on the attack on the Iber-Lepenci channel in Zubin Potok.
An explosion Friday evening damaged a channel in northern Kosovo that supplied water to two coal power plants that produce almost all of the country's electricity, Prime Minister Albin Kurti said, blaming what he called “an act of terrorist” from neighbouring Serbia, CNN reported.
There were no reports to hurt, and the cause of the explosion, which also affected the supply of drinking water, was not clear. Serbian officials did not respond to requests for comment, and Reuters did not find immediate evidence of Belgrade's involvement.
“This is a criminal and terrorist attack aimed at destroying our critical infrastructure”, Kurti said in a televised speech.
He said a part of the country could be without power if the problem is not resolved by morning.
