Bujanocy Mayor Arber Pajaziti announced that on Wednesday morning they have raised the Albanian national flag at the municipality building and that it will stay until Thursday about midnight.
He stressed that perhaps it is the first time the flag will wave there about 48 hours, as in the past it has stood around 20-24 hours.
This time because of a trip I've had in Tirana, I've set the day before, so the flag is in the municipality building. However, unfortunately it must be removed Thursday (now) after midnight”, Pajaziti said, for Klan Kosova.
He further added that this move has sparked more reactions to the Albanian opposition in Bujanoc than to other factors in Serbia, but that he expects the following days to be filed with a lawsuit by courts in Serbia because it is an illegal act for them.
“Normically will follow a fine which whenever we raise the flag there, it comes after that. Even in the past when we have had such indictments and court hearings, we have stated that we will do this with full awareness and that the fines will not stop us from setting up the flag on November 28,”, Pajaziti added.
