Citaku has said the government is using embassies and state sources for campaigning.
The latest “Days, Kosovo Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs are openly misusing their political powers, taxpayers' money and our institutions to carry out a party campaign in the diaspora. This government, chosen to serve citizens, is now turning its state and resources into means of party benefit, Citaku has said.
According to her, the Kosovo government is trying to challenge the party agenda as official government work.
And, above all, is a manipulation of our diaspora, which deserves respect and honesty, not low political schemes. Our fellow countrymen in the exile have shown a steadfast devotion to Kosovo over the decades. They deserve respect, not manipulation”, has further said Citaku.
She has accused Kurti of putting pressure on Kosovo diplomats around the world, forcing them to organise campaign meetings under state labour.
“Diplomats, who must serve every citizen with dignity and impartiality, are being forced to organise party meetings, misusing official duty and state resources. This manipulation of power is an actual abuse. So today, I call on every diplomat representing the Republic of Kosovo: Do not succumb to such abuse. Do not let yourself be used as instruments in this government's campaign. Remember, you are representatives of Kosovo, not representatives of a party agenda. You have taken the oath to serve Kosovo”, the PDK secretary has said.
At the end of her speech, the PDK Secretary General also addressed the prime minister with a live message:
Kosovo deserves better than you and your incompetent and abusive courtiers. February 9 is the end of this governing mentality and the beginning of a new era with the Hamza Government. Kosovo can best. Kosovo will make it better”, Citaku said.
